| The Survival of the Business Today |
In the 1960’s, the Swiss were producing nearly eighty percent of all watches manufactured in the world. Looking for a faster, less-expensive way to build a watch, a young watchmaker develops what is now known as the quartz watch.
He introduced his new invention at the Swiss Watch Manufacturers annual convention. Much to his surprise, the association rejected it. Many said, “It has no gears. People won’t buy it if it doesn’t tick.”
Not satisfied with their response, the young watchmaker took his new quartz watch to the World’s fair. The Japanese subsequently bought the manufacturing rights. Today, the Swiss produce less than six percent of the world’s watches.
The survival of a business today, depends greatly upon its willingness to adapt to ever-changing demands and regulations. In short, businesses must be willing to shift from their old paradigms (old ways of doing business) and adopt new and more efficient methods.
Outsourcing your employment administration to a Professional Employer Organization (PEO) is the new paradigm for the business owner.
